What It’s Like to Work With Me
I believe therapy works best when you feel comfortable enough to be yourself. While I bring professional training, experience and expertise to our work together, I don’t see therapy as a relationship where one person has all the answers and the other simply receives advice. Instead, I view therapy as a collaborative process where we work together to understand your experiences and make sense of what is happening in your life.
My style is professional, but also relaxed and down to earth. You don’t need to worry about saying the “right” thing, having everything figured out, or presenting a polished version of yourself. Therapy is a space where you can bring the parts of yourself that feel confused, uncertain, messy, vulnerable, or difficult to talk about.
I place great importance on building a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust, honesty and authenticity. I believe that when you feel able to speak openly and be fully yourself, therapy can become a powerful space for insight, growth and change.
Whilst I take the work we do together seriously, I also believe therapy doesn’t always have to feel heavy. Where appropriate, I bring warmth, humanity and humour into the room, helping to create a space where you can feel at ease whilst exploring even the most difficult parts of your experience.
